The Franciscan Sisters of Little Falls invite you to join them for a retreat entitled, The Franciscan Way of Life—A Covenant of Conversion and Commitment, which will be held Monday-Friday, January 13-17, 2020, at St. Francis Convent, Little Falls. Saint Francis of Assisi understood that Jesus presented Himself to his disciples as the author of a “new covenant.” Francis enters into a covenant of obedience to the Spirit of the Lord when he commits himself to making the Gospel his Rule of Life. Retreat director, Sister Margaret Carney, OSF, will help participants deepen their understanding of the Biblical notion of covenant as it applies to a Franciscan calling in today’s world and church. Sister Margaret has served as a teacher, administrator, a member of an international commission on a new Rule of Life for the 400 institutes of the Franciscan Third Order Regular, as dean and director of the Franciscan Institute and as president of St. Bonaventure University. Sister Margaret is an authority on the life of Saint Clare of Assisi and currently is a member of the Franciscan pilgrimage staff.
