The St. Francis Community Chorale will present a free Spring Concert on Friday, May 3, 7 p.m., in Sacred Heart Chapel, St. Francis Convent, Little Falls. This concert will be a 40th Anniversary Celebration of St. Francis Music Center! This concert will feature songs on the theme of “Home!” Many of the songs will reflect our rural heritage and what home means to each of us. From the pop song Home to the reflective Homeward Bound to the rousing spiritual Home on the Rock, the audience will feel the love of home through music. Other songs include Peace Train, Joshua, Take Me to the Water, Dakota Hymn and Fill Your Life with Music. A special treat for this concert will be the St. Francis Youth Chorale performing Count on Me with the St. Francis Ukulele Class and A Million Dreams from the movie The Greatest Showman. The Community Chorale is directed by Barb Stumpf and accompanied by Vicki Spofford. The Youth Chorale is directed by Joan Wingert and Vicki Spofford. This concert will also feature musicians Isaac Olson, Bobbi French, Kevin Stueven and Amanda Jansen. The St. Francis Brass Ensemble will perform at 6:45 p.m., so come early! St. Francis Music Center is proud to offer singing activities free of charge to anyone in our area who wishes to join. Singing together creates a joyful community; all the audience members will see the love and passion that all the vocalists have for singing! The concert is free and open to the public. The St. Francis Chorale groups are sponsored by a grant from the Five Wings Arts Council through funding from the Minnesota State Legislature.
